A 54-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 months imprisonment and placed on the sex offenders register following a sexual assault.

Lloyd Weekes, of Trinity Road, Wood Green, was sentenced at Blackfriars Crown Court on 13 September.

Weekes was sentenced following an investigation by British Transport Police after he sexually assaulted a woman whilst travelling on the Victoria Line on 15 September 2015.

Weekes had stood closely behind her whilst on a busy train. He rubbed himself against the woman and then proceeded to follow her onto the next train.

The victim reported the incident and officers identified the man via CCTV.
