The project ‘Our London, Your Museum’ run by the Museum of London was successfully completed.

In this project, three community schools worked under the guidance of three professional artists and created three artworks that reflect both their life in London and their culture. The three artworks are now exhibited in the Museum.

On Sunday 17th April 2016, the students of Southgate Greek School that took part in the project visited the Museum with their families for the unveiling of their art piece. The students received an award from the Director of the Museum of London and a ‘Duke of Edinburgh Award’ for their outstanding work.

During their visit, the participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and all that inspired them for the successful completion of their artwork together with the participants from Peace School, an Arabic community school and Orot School, a Jewish Community School, who took part in art workshops and visited the galleries of the Museum.

The artwork will be exhibited in the Museum for the next three years. According to the Museum, thousands of people are expected to visit the space in which the three artworks are exhibited.
