Omonia FC of Nicosia proceeded to an official complaint to UEFA condemning the Polish team Jagiellonia for the provocative behaviour of its fans.

Omonia`s Press Officer Andreas Demetriou told CNA that the complaint was accompanied by a video of what happened yesterday during the training of the team.

Demetriou said that there was a violation of the UEFA rules, which strictly note that during the last training of the teams, only media representatives can have access to the stadium and only for fifteen minutes. Instead, Demetriou said, around 50 fans from the Polish team, were present at Omonia`s training airing abuses against the players and yelling racist slurs at the black players of the Cypriot team.

In addition, 10-15 Polish fans of Jagiellonia were making noise outside the hotel of Omonia`s delegation.

Omonia plays against Jagiellonia at 21:30 tonight in Poland, for the first leg of Europa League`s second qualifying round.
