Police were called to Hansart Way, Enfield, on Sunday, 22 June to a report of a burglary artifice.

Sometime between 16:00 and 17:00 hrs, the elderly female occupant opened the door to a man who claimed to be a police officer.

Believing he was there to investigate a loud bang that had been heard earlier in the day, the resident let the man into the property.

With no further conversation, the man walked into several rooms quickly and then left. Immediately afterwards, the resident discovered several items missing.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a man in the area around this time acting suspiciously.

The tanned white man, in his 20s, is described as 5′ 07″ tall, medium build and with short brown hair. He wore a brown suit and spoke with a British accent.
