U14 White Battle to Earn a Deserved Draw
Score: 3-3 Draw | PotM: Zain, with Anthony a close second
Today’s match was always going to be a real test. The opposition had just beaten the league leaders and were full of confidence, while Omonia were managing several attacking absentees and integrating three new players. Teddy was making his competitive debut in any team, adding another layer of excitement.
The game started cautiously, with Omonia taking time to settle into new roles. However, as the match progressed, confidence grew. After some tactical adjustments with Theo, Adrian, and Abel, the team found their rhythm and finished the half the stronger side. [HT: 0-0]
The second half saw Omonia grow further into the game. Anthony, playing in midfield for the first time, made a significant impact with his tenacity and passing. Despite falling behind, Omonia responded brilliantly, with Zain finding the bottom corner to level. The opposition regained the lead, but Zain’s outside-of-the-boot effort made it 2-2.
With ten minutes to go, Omonia conceded again but showed tremendous spirit. Up stepped Zain once more, completing his hat-trick with a stunning chip from outside the area—an incredible goal that sent the supporters into celebration.
This performance reignited confidence in the squad, and they will carry that momentum into next week.
