Cyprus national tennis team defeats Thailand for the Davis Cup

Cyprus’ national tennis team, with an exceptional performance, defeated the national team of Thailand for the Davis Cup on Saturday in Nicosia.

With an overall score 4-0, Cyprus achieved a great victory over Thailand and qualified for the final phase of the play-offs leading to the B division of the Davis Cup World Cup.

According to a press release issued by the Cyprus Tennis Federation, the Cypriot tennis players predominated the Thais, even though in all cases they faced opponents that are higher in the world ranking than themselves.
