As the Autumn leaves fall, our dedicated volunteers are stepping up to help keep local pavements clear, prevent flooding, and ensure pathways are safe and slip-free for everyone.

Can you help by joining others keeping our streets safe? By becoming a Leafing Buddy volunteer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining your community’s streets during the busy leafing season, which runs from mid-October to late December.
We provide all the essential equipment, including a broom, sacks, gloves, and a hi-visibility vest, free of charge. You just need to bring your enthusiasm!
Volunteers can clear leaves at their own pace and using their equipment, they will keep footpaths clear and safe for residents.
Fallen leaves are cleared as part of normal street sweeping. Extra street sweeping is done on streets where there are more trees. This important work helps prevent blocked drains and slippery surfaces during heavy rains, contributing to a safer, cleaner environment for all.
