It followed reports from residents who were concerned about the speed which vehicles were travelling through the towns.
Officers focused on Station Road in Welham Green and The Ridgeway in Cuffley.
Although most people observed the speed limit, six traffic offence reports (TORs) were issued to drivers exceeding it, including for a driver travelling 38mph in a 30mph zone.
Sergeant Robert Wilson said: “We hope residents feel reassured that we do listen to your concerns and act on them.
“Speeding is the biggest cause of casualties and people being killed or seriously injured on the roads in the UK. The limit is there for a reason so please stick to it.”
