Three men have been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary which occurred in Potters Bar yesterday (Wednesday 4 September).
It was reported that a group of men had forced their way into a property in Park View at around 4am.
The male occupant was then allegedly threatened and physically assaulted, sustaining an injury to his ear.
Officers quickly attended the address, and four men were arrested at the scene.
Following an investigation by the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, three of the men were charged with aggravated burglary with intent and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place:
Jason Embelek, aged 27, from Bridge Street, Hemel Hempstead. He is due to appear before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today (5 September).
Taner Dogan, aged 24, from Milton Road, London. He is due to appear before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today (5 September).
Elsaid Jukaj, aged 20, from Grove Road, London. He is due to appear before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (6 September).
The fourth man is currently awaiting interview.
Neighbourhood Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “I appreciate incidents of this nature will cause a great deal of concern among the local community. We believe this to have been a targeted incident, involving people who are known to each other, and charges have now been secured.
“Our investigations will continue and anyone with information is asked to please get in touch.
“We know that some residents have already approached local PCSOs during their patrols but, if you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to speak with your local policing team.”
