Boro played out a thriller with their Step 3 opponents to keep their name in the hat for the draw for the final Qualifying Round in 2 week’s time.
Here’s how the afternoon unfolded as we took on The Trawlerboys.
There were two changes to the side that drew in the week with Concord Rangers.
Tommy Boxer was recalled and new signing Uko Oji started.
Lowestoft took the lead in the seventh minute when their Striker wriggles past two defenders and calmly finishes past Michael, But their lead did not last long when in the 13th minute Haringey Borough equalised when Scott and Uko combined to set Joe free. He took one touch before firing into the far corner.
The excitement grew when Lowestoft were awarded a penalty and the Haringey Borough keeper saved the shot.
All level at the break and six minutes into the second half Lowestoft retook the lead ten minutes later Haringey Borough equalised when J’Ardell wins a back post header, keeper saves from Derek at point blank but Joe is on hand to stab home on the line to bring Boro level again
In the 80th minute Boro finally have their noses in front when a marauding Scott plays apass into the inside right channel. Joe’s finish into the far corner is unerring.
Lowestoft equalise when Boro concede a free kick just outside the area, and it’s converted directly past Michael
The final whistle goes, and it’ll be replay in Suffolk Tuesday with the reward for the winner to play Chippenham Town or Weston Super Mare
