Pafos FC has unveiled ambitious plans for a complete renovation of the Stelios Kyriakides stadium, with an estimated cost exceeding €30 million.

The project, funded entirely by the club’s investors, also includes upgrades for the Iakoveio Gymnasium and Geroskipou Municipal Stadium.

According to Phileleftheros, the stadium upgrade aims to increase capacity to 8,000 seats, with a focus on modern amenities. The vision extends beyond the stadium, encompassing a 3,000-seat indoor arena next door, creating a unified sports complex suitable for concerts and other events.

However, the club’s investors criticised recent infrastructure decisions. They cited the €1.8 million resurfacing of the Stelios Kyriakides stadium’s running track as an example, arguing the entire stadium needs demolition.

They advocate for a new multi-purpose venue with basketball and volleyball courts to meet international standards.
