His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis holds community dinner

On Tuesday 21st May, a community dinner took place at Babinondas restaurant in Palmers Green, North London.
The well-attended and successful event, initiated and organised by His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis, was an opportunity for the 100 attending parishioners to gather in the bright paschal spirit of the Lord’s resurrection, enjoying the gracious hospitality of Mr Vassilis, the restaurant’s owner.
On behalf of the entire Greek Orthodox Community of St Barnabas, His Grace Bishop Iakovos and president Archon Marios Minaides, presented Mr Vassilis with an honorary cross from St Mary’s Cathedral’s consecration. The day in fact, precisely marked the first anniversary of the momentous event of the Cathedral’s consecration in 2023. An icon of the Dormition of the Theotokos was also given to Mr Vassilis as a token of appreciation for his commendable generosity and service to the local church.
His Grace also expressed his gratitude towards the staff and all in attendance, for actively and kindly supporting the community’s efforts in renovating and developing the church of St Barnabas.
