CATHERINE WEST LAUNCHES 2024 GENERAL ELECTION PARLIAMENTARY CAMPAIGN FOR HORNSEY AND FRIERN BARNET

On Wednesday the 5th June, Catherine West launched her 2024 General Election official campaign as the Labour candidate for Hornsey and Friern Barnet.
Beginning outside Friern Barnet Town Hall followed by a reception in the Local Constituency Party office, Catherine was joined by party members, councillors, London Assembly Members, and even loyal doggies to officially launch the campaign and organise the evening’s canvassing session.
Special guest Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, joined the rally and thanked members for their continued dedication and hard work supporting Catherine and working towards a Labour Government. London Assembly Member, Joanne McCartney, also recognised local members for their volunteering during the 2024 London Mayoral Election which saw Sadiq win a record-breaking third term.
Catherine West: “I would like to thank the huge crowd who has come out here today to support my candidacy for the upcoming General Election. I remember Sadiq was here in 2015 during my first ever campaign launch. Since then, I’ve been fighting for my constituents – to improve our local schools, access to essential services, keeping our libraries and swimming pools open and making sure that everyone has good quality care at our local hospitals and GP services.
I am so grateful that you have taken the time to join me today. And I know the next 4 weeks will be very gruelling. But we must fight for every single vote. Because the only poll that matters is the one on polling day and that will be July 4th.
Our public services are on their knees, hardworking people are not making ends meet, queues for food banks are getting longer and millions are locked out of the housing ladder. My constituents want a change, and it’s time for change with Labour.”
