A message from David Pinto-Duschinsky Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Hendon

U9At the coming election, we will all face a choice-do we want more of the same chaos with the Conservatives or do we want change with Labour. I am running to be your MP to bring change.

I’m so proud of our country. My father is a Holocaust survivor who came here as a child refugee and was welcomed with open arms.

Growing up, I had a challenging speech impediment. Dedicated NHS therapists supported me for years to help me overcome my condition. And the NHS didn’t just give me my voice. It saved my daughter’s life when she was born extremely prematurely.

These experiences have shaped my values. They’re why I’ve spent years working hard for our community and campaigning for local people.

And they’re why I’m standing to be our MP.

This is such a special place. But we’re being let down.

The Conservatives have crashed the economy, sending our mortgages and bills soaring. They have raised taxes 25 times. They have pushed our NHS to the brink of collapse and made our streets less safe, cutting neighbourhood policing.

They have made a huge mess and left us all to pick up the bill.

We deserve better. It’s time for change.

As your MP, I’ll bring that change. I’ll provide real help with bills, get our economy growing, get our local NHS back on its feet and make our streets safe again. I’ll clear up the mess the Conservatives have left and create a more prosperous, more secure and fairer future, with better public services and opportunity for all.

I’ll use my experience from working in business and government to be a champion for our community, to deliver for this community and get things done for local people in Parliament.

I know many people are understandably disillusioned with politics. I want to show that things can change for the better.

I’ll work hard every day to earn your trust and show that Labour has changed. For too long, Labour let the Jewish community down. I am completely committed to supporting Keir Starmer as he acts with purpose to rip the poison of antisemitism out from Labour by the roots and builds a Labour Party all can once again be proud to support.

Most of all, I’ll always listen and I’ll always put you first. For years, people in Hendon have been neglected and taken for granted by our Conservative MP. I want to be a different kind of MP-one who’s accessible and there to help. That’s why I’ve spent years talking to thousands of Hendon residents, listening to your concerns.

We have the opportunity to end the chaos under the Conservatives, bring change and build a better future for our families, our community and our country. But if you want change, you have to vote for it. It’s a two horse race here in Hendon. Only Labour can defeat the Conservatives here.
