We sadly announce that UK Cypriot Andreas Antoniou has passed away

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andreas ‘The Drummer’ Antoniou who passed away peacefully on the 20th of April 2024, aged 80. Andreas was a brilliant musician and was one of the most sought after Cypriot drummers in London, during the 1970’s and 1980’s having played with some of the top singers of that era. His musical legacy will remain forever and he leaves behind his loving wife Chrysanthi and his children Stassy, Lucy, Toni, Clare, Eleanor, Alex, Christina and Sophia and also his 15 grandchildren, Emily (27) Philipos (25) Nathan (24) Hannah (23) Nikitas (22) Adam (20) Tommy (18) Adrian (17) Mia (16) Angelina (15) Alice and Isabelle (10) Leonardo and Thanos (3) and Ares (8 months).

“Our fun loving husband, brother, father and grandfather will be loved and missed forever.”

Andreas’s funeral will take place on Friday 24th of May 2024, at the The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Cross and St. Michael, Golders Green, Golders Green Rd, NW11 8HL, at 12.30pm. Flowers are welcome and donations can be made to the North London Hospice.
