On Saturday 11th May, a coffee and cake event was held at the Clissold Arms in Muswell Hill, who provided a private room with teas and coffees. Cakes were donated by Andana Foods, Dulcesol and Raphael’s Bakery and Patisserie.
The organiser, Maria Neophytou, brought with her a team of helpers. Members of the local community all joined them to raise money for the Zinc House Kids of Sierra Leone.
Over £1400 was raised along with extra donations of rice, pasta, children’s medicines and glasses, baby shampoo and baby wash, as well as other useful items for the zinc house kids.
Alexios Gennaris, with his partner, Alexandra Piha, will be flying to Sierra Leone on June 11th. Whilst there, they will hold several parties for the children and parents as well as barbecues, the latter thanks to the deluxe barbecue donated my Archway Sheet Metalworks Ltd.
Their time there will also be spent on identifying problems faced by the zinc house kids and then finding solutions.
