The Metropolitan Police lost a loving friend and colleague Ellie Stylianou, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday 6th March 2024 at the age of 24.Ellie was a loving Daughter, Fiancé, Sister, Auntie, and those fortunate enough to call her their friend.
Detective Constable Ellie Stylianou was a popular and charismatic detective in the Local Investigations (CID) main office at North Area BCU in the Metropolitan Police Service. Ellie served the Metropolitan Police from March 2022 and made a huge impact on the lives of everyone she worked with on North Area BCU. Ellie was highly dedicated to her role and was proud to serve the public as a police officer.
Ellie was a bubbly, energetic character and never failed to make anyone smile. When you walked into the office, you would be drawn to her. Ellie was a social butterfly and you would always find her laughing or chatting with someone in the office. She was always willing to offer help and support to her colleagues and her sense of humour and loving personality was infectious to everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her.
Ellie made so many amazing friendships during her career within the Met and was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to know her. It was an honour to have worked alongside her and the memories we all created will be cherished.
She was a big Tottenham fan and was a regular at their games with her Fiancée. The Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou also sent a letter of condolences.
There was also a tribute in the Tottenham programme asking for the fans at the club to clap in the 27th minute of their match
Her Funeral took place at Christ Church, Cockfosters followed by the burial at New Southgate cemetery.
The Metropolitan Police held a tribute by lining the street with Police officers and a Police motor bike escort for the Hearst.
Parikiaki also extend their condolences to the family.
