Cypriot archery secured a gold and two silver medals at the “Danube Arrows” International Tournament in Bulgaria after Saturday matches.

On Sunday, the Cypriot delegation will compete in the individual finals.

The Cypriot archery duo of Dimitris Kargados and Areti Agrotou dominated the mixed compound event, claiming the gold medal. Christos El Helali and Christina Hadjierotocritou won the silver in mixed Olympic archery, while Dimitris Kargados, Fotis Fotiou, and Phivos Zannetos won silver in team compound archery.

With their eyes set on Olympic Games at Paris, Cypriot athletes return to Cyprus on Monday, and on Thursday, they depart for Germany, where they will strive to secure Olympic quotas for Paris.

The athletes heading to Germany are only from Olympic archery: Christos El Helali, Christina Hadjierotocritou, Haris Charalambous, and Christos Thomas.
