A total of 202 persons, who resided illegally in Cyprus, left the country last week, as part of the efforts of the Police, to return third-country nationals to their countries of origin.

According to the Police, in the same context, a joint forced return flight of FRONTEX took place during the week, in which Cyprus also participated for the 12th time this year.

The next joint repatriation and deportation operation is scheduled to take place on November 25, 2023.

It is noted that since the beginning of the year 8,385 people, who resided illegally in Cyprus, have been deported.

As noted, the efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service, are to maximize the number of returns.
