CGS Golf Holiday 2023

What a fantastic start to the golfing year!

Stathi Liasi, the 2023 incoming Captain, known for his flamboyant dress sense, decided to push the boundaries, and take the society to the flamboyant Caribbean Island of Dominican Republic.

40 eager members set off to this warm exotic location in February 2023, escaping the cold winter in the UK. The golf courses played, Espada, Teeth of The Dog and Corales were amongst the best and most challenging in the world. The spectacular ocean backdrops and immaculate conditions of the courses left a memorable and lasting impression on all present.

The overall winner, and player of the holiday was Savva Savva. Savva started the final round at Corales Golf Club, with a 5 shot lead over Captain Stathi Liasi and Tony Koureas, only to find himself level on points with both players after the first 9 holes!
