Chief Returning Officer, Dr Costas Constantinou said that the results of today’s election process are expected sooner compared to the first round of elections, due to the fact that the sorting and counting process of the votes is easier, since the number of candidates is significantly smaller compared to last Sunday.

Voter turnout at 10 am (UK time) on Sunday was estimated at 35.4 per cent, according to Chief Returning Officer Costas Constantinou, who gave his second update of the day from the Press and Information Office.
Compared to last week, when at the same time it was calculated at 33.7 per cent, voter turnout up by 1.7 per cent.
Constantinou also added that no issues were reported at voting station.
Voting overseas is at 16 per cent. He added that in the UK voting is taking place from 8am-4pm local time, with half an hour break between 12:00-12:30.
A total of 3,628 voters have registered to vote at the High Commission and the Cypriot Community Centre in London and at Greek Orthodox churches in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Bristol.
The situation at the High Commission voting station in during the morning was very quiet, in contrast to last Sunday when large groups of Cypriots living in the UK, particularly students, gathered early to cast their vote.
ELECTION DAY | ROUND B – VOTING IN BRITAIN FOR CYPRIOT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IS IN PROGRESS
The polls opened at 8 am at the ten polling centres operating in six cities in Britain for the participation in the presidential elections of 3,628 UK Cypriots, who have the right to vote.
Five of the ten polling stations are in London. Three in the High Commission of Cyprus in UK located in the centre of London (13 St. James’s Sq, SW1Y 4LB) where 1,461 voters are registered and two polling stations at the Cypriot Community Centre (Earlham Grove, Wood Green, N22 5HJ) , where there are 815 registered voters.
Another five polling stations operate outside London:
- In Manchester and at the hall of The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God (Bury New Road, M7 4EY) where 365 voters are registered
- In Birmingham, at the The Midlands Greek and Cypriot Association (Magnet Centre, Park Approach, Birmingham, B23 7SJ) for 311 voters
- In Glasgow, in the hall of The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke the Evangelist (27 Dundonald Road, Dowanhill, Glasgow G12 9LL) for 257 electors
- In Leeds, where 234 electors can vote at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Three Hierarchs (57 Harehills Avenue, Leeds LS8 4EU)
- And in Bristol, at The Greek Orthodox Community of St. Peter and St. Paul (Lower Ashley Road, Bristol BS5 0YL), where 203 voters are registered.
Those who have the right to vote will be able to proceed to the polling centres where they are registered by presenting their electoral book or Cypriot identity card. Not their passport.

The election process will last until 4 pm with a half hour break at 12 noon. That is, from 12 until 12:30.
