Police on Monday said a 21-year-old Syrian man who was shot in the head in an apparent drive by in Nicosia on Sunday afternoon is dead.

The incident took place on Grivas Digheni Avenue in Nicosia near the Ayios Antonios area.

Police have released a photo of a wanted man in connection with the case.

The vehicle the victim was in, together with another individual, was shot at several times.
