Demetris Chrysou

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Demetris Chrysou on Monday 7th November 2022, at the age of 89. He leaves behind wife Sotera, children Nikos and Maria, grandson Demetri and sister Theognosia, relatives and friends. Demetris immigrated to London with his wife in 1958 and became one of the finest barbers in London. A compassionate, funny, and generous man with a well- groomed appearance, he loved family gatherings and summer trips to his beloved Cyprus.

The funeral will take place on the 2nd of December 2022, at St John the Baptist, Wightman Rd, Harringay Ladder, London N8 0LY, at 12pm, and the burial will follow at Edmonton Green Cemetery, Church Street, N9 9HP, at 2 pm. Rather than receiving flowers, we shall be having a donation box that will contribute to the funeral costs and also to the British Heart Foundation

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο του Δημήτρη Χρυσού τη Δευτέρα 7 Νοεμβρίου 2022, σε ηλικία 89 ετών. Αφήνει τη σύζυγό του

Σωτήρα, παιδιά Νίκο και Μαρία, εγγονό Δημήτρη και την αδελφή του Θεογνωσία, καθώς και πολλούς συγγενείς και φίλους.

Ο Δημήτρης μετανάστευσε στο Λονδίνο με τη σύζυγό του το 1958 και έγινε ένας από τους καλύτερους μπαρμπέρηδες του Λονδίνου. Ένας συμπονετικός, γεμάτος χιούμορ και γενναιόδωρος άνθρωπος, πάντα περιποιημένος, που αγαπούσε τις οικογενειακές συγκεντρώσεις και τα ταξίδια στην αγαπημένη του Κύπρο.

Η κηδεία του θα τελεσθεί την Παρασκευή 2 Δεκεμβρίου 2022, από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Βαπτιστή, Wightman Rd, Harringay Ladder, London N8 0LY στις 12 μ.μ., και η ταφή θα ακολουθήσει στο κοιμητήριο

Edmonton Green, Church Street, N9 9HP στις 2 μ.μ. Αντί λουλουδιών, θα γίνονται εισφορές για τα έξοδα της κηδείας και το British Heart Foundation.
