I cant ever remember going to such a game it had it all, excitement from the first minute to the last with goals galore, penalties and the game being  stopped for 15 minutes when the lights went out.

It was a late Saturday kick off with the game starting at 7.00pm a home game for St Panteleimon at their Hertford North ground versus Norfolk team Sheringham FC in the second round of the FA Vase a prestigious cup with the final to be played at Wembley.

For the winners of this game it will be the furthest they have ever been in the FA Vase.

ⁿSt Panteleimon who play in the Spartan South Midlands League took the lead within five minutes when a ball was passed to Dean Morgan who hammered the ball home into the bacķ of the net.

Two minutes later Sheringham equalised through a placed shot from the edge of the box from Jamie Nelson who was a constant menace to the St Panteleimon defence.

The teams went into the half time break drawing 1-1. 

The second half saw Sheringham start the better of the two. teams. Then unexpectedly  the lights went out in the 61st minute and the game was stopped for 15 minutes before resuming the game.

With 29 minutes left to Play St Panteleimon raised their game and were rewarded with a  goal from Dean Morgan a powerful shot from just outside the box

Five minutes later Sheringham equalised when Archie Gálley curled a shot ínto the left hand corner of the net.

The Saints retook the lead with five minutes to go when Courtney ĺeft on his own tapped the ball home.

In the last minute Sheringham equalised when a penalty was awarded to them and Jamie Nelson scored from the spot. Taking the game into penalties and leaving St Panteleimon with an exciting finish to win on penalties and their sights on going to Wembley.
