Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Firs Avenue in New Southgate.

Part of the first and second floors of an end-of-terrace house were damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 2326 and the fire was under control by 0054. Fire crews from Finchley, Southgate and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
