Seven people have appeared in court charged with drug offences. The charges relate to nine warrants executed by the Cyber Crime Unit, in north east London, Manchester, Sussex and Hertfordshire.
This was part of a proactive operation targeting criminals using the Dark Web to facilitate the distribution of Class A and Class B drugs.
– Hassan Patel, 34 (24.12.87) of Waterhouse Street, Rochdale, Manchester is charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
– Mohammed Zamurrad, 35 (03.09.87) of Brighton Road, Crawley is charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
– Apostolos Zgkouris, 29 (03.08.93) of Enfield is charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs and one count of producing a Class B drug.
– Giannis Foukis, 39 (02.08.83) of Windmill Hill, Enfield is charged with five counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs, four counts of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and one count of possessing criminal property.
– Nikolin Tarousa, 36 (22.11.85) of Northlands, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire is charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs, one count of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and one count of possessing criminal property.
– Thomas Kapouranis, 26 (10.10.96) of Northlands, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire is charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
– Askin Aktas, 41 (10.05.81) of Walthamstow is charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
They appeared at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 27 October.
They will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, 30 November 2022.
