New Salamis match abandoned
New Salamis Spartan Midlands Premier League match was abandoned in the 60th minute with them 2-0 up in their match against Flackwell Green when a player was injured and the referee decided that the game should not continue.

The match for New Salamis vs Flackwell Heath was abandoned today after 53 minutes with New Salamis winning 2-0 at the time, due to a serious injury to a Flackwell Heath player.
New Salamis had raced into an early lead when Antonio Michael curled a low shot in to the bottom of the net from the edge of the Flackwell Heath penalty area in the 2nd minute for 1-0.
Salamina controlled the match having the odd scare from Flackwell Heath breakaways.
Salamina went 2-0 up just before half time when Tashan Richmond broke free of the Flackwell Heath defence to slide the ball past the keeper.
Salamina started the second half brightly, but on the 53rd minute mark with Flackwell Heath defending a corner their number 11 went down following a clearance with what seemed to be a bad ankle injury.
The game was halted whilst an ambulance was called. After 40 minutes of waiting the referee abandoned the match with Salamina leading at 2-0 and controlling the match.
Next match for New Salamis is on the 31st August away to Harpenden Town, followed by a home game vs Leverstock Green on Saturday 4th September at Haringey Borough with a 3.00pm kick off.
