Extremely high temperatures will continue to affect the island on Wednesday, according to the Cyprus Meteorological Service which issued a yellow warning on Tuesday.

The warning came into effect from 2100 local time Tuesday until 1600 Wednesday.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be around 40 degrees inland and around 32 over Troodos’  highest peaks.
