Andreas Georgiou (Koliandris)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, Andreas Georgiou, also known as Koliandris. Andreas was a very popular figure, much loved by the Enfield community, the staff and patrons of George’s Fish Bar and by all who were familiar with his infectious and warm personality. Andreas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday 4 June 2021, two days shy of his 87th birthday. He was born in Anaphotia, Cyprus, on 6 June 1934. Andreas leaves behind his four daughters, Vasoulla, Vevi, Georgina and Julie; two sons-in-law, Andreas and Savva, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 24 June, 12noon at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Town Road, Edmonton, N9 0LP – followed by the burial at New Southgate Cemetery at approximately 1.45pm. Unfortunately, due to current COVID restrictions we will be limited to 100 people for the church service.  However, for those who wish to attend and pay their respects, you will be very welcome and warmly received by his family at the cemetery where numbers will not be restricted. Rather than flowers, there will be a box available for donations to the Royal Free Hospital Kidney Patients Association. Ανδρέας Γεωργίου (Κολιανδρής)

Με μεγάλη λύπη αναγγέλλουμε  τον θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας πατέρα, παππού και προπάππου, Ανδρέα Γεωργίου, γνωστού και ως Κολιανδρή. Ο Αντρέας ήταν ένας πολύ δημοφιλής χαρακτήρας, τον οποίο αγαπούσε πολύ η κοινότητα  του Enfield, το προσωπικό και οι πελάτες του George’s Fish Bar και όλοι όσοι γνώριζα τη επιδραστική και ζεστή προσωπικότητα του. Ο Ανδρέας απεβίωσε  ειρηνικά στο σπίτι του, περιτριγυρισμένος από την αγαπημένη του οικογένεια την Παρασκευή 4 Ιουνίου 2021, δύο μέρες πριν από τα 87χρονά γενέθλια του. Γεννήθηκε στην Αναφωτία της Κύπρου, στις 6 Ιουνίου 1934.

Ο Ανδρέας αφήνει πίσω του, 4 κόρες, Βασούλλα, Vevi, Γεωργία και Julie, 2 γαμπρούς,  τον Ανδρέα και τον Σάββα, 7 εγγόνια και 14 δισέγγονα.

Η κηδεία θα τελεσθεί  την Πέμπτη, 12 το μεσημέρι 24 Ιουνίου στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Δημητρίου, Town Road, Edmonton, N9 0LP  και η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο του New Southgate, περίπου στις 1:45μ.μ. Δυστυχώς, λόγω των τρεχόντων περιορισμών COVID, μόνο 100 άτομα μπορούν να παρευρεθούν στην εκκλησία. Ωστόσο, για όσους επιθυμούν να αποτίσουν φόρο τιμής στο εκλιπόντα, θα είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παρευρεθούν στο κοιμητήριο, όπου δεν θα υπάρξει περιορισμός ατόμων.  Αντί για λουλούδια, θα υπάρχει κουτί εισφορών για το Royal Free Hospital KidneyPatients Association.
