It is a fact that using colours can transform the way we feel, our mood reflection and what it says about us. We all know how green pastures make us feel relaxed and calm, which is why they have often used it in a doctors/dental surgery, psychology practices and meditation areas, along with other places that need an area of relaxation.

So how much relaxing have you been doing, what do you need in your life right now? Is it a little excitement? Then it is time to step up and out, to use some wild and the unconventional to create what you want. Is your home environment or wardrobe full of beige, magnolia, brown or black? Do you have any room or area that is a little colourful and wild? Is your clothing choice, hair colour all in the safe category? Then it is time to bring out a little wild in and around you! I am not saying you should go on a crazy rollercoaster ride or start gambling, I am merely saying we all at times need to get out of the safe zone and bring out a little wild in us. So do something crazy and let’s throw caution to the wind, don’t worry what others may think about you, just do it for you and you alone. People will say what they want to say anyway or find something else to say. So do what you want to do, just for you. I have some friends who dress real zany different and not like your average person, but you know what, neither is their beautiful, bold personality like any average. They are kind, caring, uplifting, bold personalities that bring sunshine to a rainy day and a ray of sunshine to all they cross paths with.

Some people are naturally wild free spirits, while others need a little cohesion to bring it out in them. So wild leaders help your friends to bring out their inner wild, help them step into the wild zone and do some things they have always wanted to do but were either suppressed, worried about what others may think, or just not daring enough to do it alone. Help them with introductory steps to something new and take them out of their comfort zone.

So turn some of those comfy, safe areas into a free, wild butterfly space. You can start by adding a little colour and whacky different to the home and garden space. Be creative and do something not in the basic standard of your environment – not sure what to do to make a change, ask an unrestricted friend. You don’t have to paint walls bright red or silver, start with some accessories in wild print or colour, like cushions or pictures. When you adjust and are comfortable with those changes, you can take it a step further. Time to make a personal change in appearance, be it clothing, colour, style, then hair colour or style, nails etc.

Next is the action plan for doing something you have been wanting to do but never got the time or chance to do for some time, or in fact ever got round to doing so. Learn sword fencing, archery, horse riding, roller skating, sky diving, martial arts or just go glamping, even in your fun friend’s garden. Do things with some friends or partner until you are ready or feel safe to do it alone.

Throw a wild theme or costume party, where everyone has the chance to bring out their craziness and wild side. Get the music on and party hard with singing and dancing as you entertain others as well as yourself. Be the life and soul of any party! We had long enough being stuck and confined to restrictions and deprivation. Don’t hold back or allow yourself to become dull humdrum because it goes with your age; age is only a number and it is not compulsory to conform to an age restrictive action. Act how you feel and are capable of doing so, not how you are expected to by others and their age related attitude. Get that youthful zest into your life and just go for it

Whatever it is, book up, set it up and do it. Life is for living in the moment now, as we don’t know what tomorrow, next week, month, or year holds and brings!

Get wild and live a colourful life!
