Authorities in Cyprus reported 41 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday out of a total of 49,462 tests carried out and zero deaths. The positivity rate stands at 0.08%. At the same time 45 patients with the disease are in hospital, 18 of whom in a serious condition.

According to a Health Ministry press release the total number of deaths so far in Cyprus remains 363, 241 men (66%) and 122 women (34%). The total number of confirmed cases has reached 72,750.

In total, 45 patients with COVID-19 are in hospital, 18 of whom in a serious condition.

On Saturday, 49,462 tests were carried out, 4,906 by PCR method and 44,556 by antigen rapid test method, with 41 people testing positive as follows:

One person tested positive out of 26 samples taken through contact tracing, 15 people tested positive out of 2,277 samples tested privately, 2 people tested positive out of 679 antigen rapid tests carried out privately and 23 people tested positive out of 43,877 samples tested by antigen rapid tests in the context of the government testing drive.
