Cheshunt woman handed a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Melissa Kasanda, aged 42, of Warrenfield Close was given the order with various conditions after incidents in the Borough of Broxbourne.

An additional community order also bans her from Co-op stores in Cheshunt.

A Cheshunt woman has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order after appearing in court.

Melissa Kasanda, aged 42, of Warrenfield Close, appeared at St Albans Magistrates Court on Tuesday 15 June where she was sentenced having pleaded guilty to shoplifting and assault offences.

She was handed fines totalling £465, a community order and a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

The community order is for 18 months and states she must not attend the Co-op stores in Church Lane and High Street, Cheshunt.

The CBO is for three years and states she must not enter the petrol station on Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross or enter a specified address also on Eleanor Cross Road. She must also not ask any person within the Borough of Broxbourne for money or use of their phone except for a legitimate reason including, but not limited to, reasons of legal employment.

Kasanda was fined a further £100 for breaching an existing Community Protection Notice and having breached an existing suspended sentence order, which has been increased for a further six months (the original suspended order was granted on 15 July 2020, suspended for 12 months).
