Demetrakis Theodorou,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father and Bapou,
Demetrakis Theodorou, who left us on the 25th January 2021.
He leaves behind his wife Chriso, his daughters, Coulla and Eleni, son in law Harry and
grandchildren Julia, Zoë, Christina and George as well as many other family and friends.
Born in Monagroulli, Limassol, Demetrakis arrived in London as a young man and worked as a barber for over 60 years. He became well known and respected in the community of Hither Green, South East London where he lived and ran his barber shops since the 1960s.
Demetrakis was the perfect gentleman, a hard worker, and a devoted family man, always generous and supportive of those around him. He was green fingered and loved gardening – his garden was a paradise for roses, fig trees, jasmine plants and bougainvillea.
Aside from plants, his family were his greatest pride and joy.
The funeral will be held on the 12th of March at the Church of St John the Baptist,
Wightman Road N8 0LY at 10am. Due to the current restrictions the Church Service is limited to immediate family only. The burial will be at New Southgate Cemetery N11 1JJ at 12pm, for those who wish to pay their respects subject to social distancing rules.

Με βαριά καρδιά ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο του συζύγου μας, πατέρα και παππού, Δημητράκη Θεοδώρου, που μας άφησε στις 25 Ιανουαρίου 2021.
Αφήνει πίσω τη σύζυγό του Χρύσω, τις κόρες του: Κούλλα και Ελένη, γαμπρό Χάρη, εγγόνια: Τζούλια, Ζωή, Χριστίνα και Γιώργο, καθώς και πολλούς άλλους συγγενείς και φίλους.
Γεννημένος στο Μοναγρούλι της Λεμεσού, ο Δημητράκης έφτασε στο Λονδίνο ως νεαρός και εργάστηκε ως κουρέας για περισσότερα από 60 χρόνια. Έγινε γνωστός και σεβαστός στην κοινότητα του Hither Green, στο Νοτιοανατολικό Λονδίνο, όπου έζησε και διεύθυνε τα κουρεία του από τη δεκαετία του 1960.
Ο Δημητράκης ήταν ο τέλειος κύριος, πολύ εργατικός, αφοσιωμένος οικογενειάρχης, πάντα γενναιόδωρος και υποστηρικτικός των γύρω του. Ήταν δεξιοτέχνης και λάτρευε την κηπουρική – ο κήπος του ήταν ένας παράδεισος με τριανταφυλλιές, συκιές, γιασεμί και διάφορα άλλα φυτά. Εκτός από την κηπουρική η οικογένειά ήταν η μεγαλύτερη υπερηφάνεια και χαρά του.
Η κηδεία θα τελεσθεί στις 12 Μαρτίου από την Εκκλησία του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Βαπτιστή, Wightman Road N8 0LY στις 10πμ. Λόγω των ισχυόντων περιορισμών, μόνο η στενή οικογένεια του μπορεί να παρευρεθεί. Η ταφή θα γίνει στο κοιμητήριο του New Southgate N11 1JJ στις 12μμ και όσοι επιθυμούν και σέβονται τους κανονισμούς κοινωνικής απόστασης μπορούν να παρευρεθούν. Για όσους θα ήθελαν να στείλουν λουλούδια μπορούν να απευθυνθούν στα γραφεία κηδειών Demetriou & English, 131-133 Myddleton Rd, London N22 8NG έως τις 11 Μαρτίου.
