† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
Sophia Procopi
(from Vathylakas, Famagusta)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Sophia on 27th
January 2021, at the grand old age of 95.
She leaves behind sons Soteris, Jimmy, Peter, and Chris, her daughter Androulla, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Sophia was born on 20 February 1925 in Vathylakas and moved to London in the mid-1960s, spending the last thirty-odd years in
Palmers Green, but throughout the year she split her time between London and Cyprus.
She had lots of friends and enjoyed trips to various religious sites around the world, and was never one to stay in one place.
She loved her expeditions and to be surrounded by people.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, but she’ll
remain in our fondest memories forever.
The funeral will take place on 12th March, 1pm at St Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, Wood Green, London N22 8LB, followed by the burial at Southgate Cemetery.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας
μητέρας, γιαγιάς και προγιαγιάς Σοφίας Προκόπη, που απεβίωσε στις
27 Ιανουαρίου 2021, σε ηλικία 95 ετών.
Αφήνει πίσω τους γιους της Σωτήρη, Τζίμι, Πήτερ και Κρις, την κόρη της Ανδρούλλα, 14 εγγόνια και 23 δισεγγόνια.
Η Σοφία γεννήθηκε στις 20 Φεβρουαρίου 1925 στον Βαθύλακα και μετακόμισε στο Λονδίνο στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 1960, περνώντας τα τελευταία τριάντα χρόνια στο Palmers Green.
Τον ελεύθερο χρόνο της, τον σπαταλούσε μεταξύ Λονδίνου και Κύπρου.
Είχε πολλούς φίλους και απολαύανε τα διάφορα θρησκευτικά ταξίδια σε όλο τον κόσμο, δεν ήταν ο άνθρωπος της στασιμότητας της άρεσε
πάντοτε να επισκεφτείτε μέρη και να περιτριγυρίζετε από άτομα.
Θα λείψει πολύ σε όλη την οικογένεια και τους φίλους της, αλλά θα παραμείνει στις αναμνήσεις μας για πάντα. Η κηδεία θα τελεσθεί στις 12 Μαρτίου, 1 μ.μ. στην Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία της Παναγίας, Wood Green, London N22 8LB, και η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο του New Southgate.
