Four men are due to appear in court charged with offences including kidnap, false imprisonment, and blackmail.

[A] Dorjan Kurtaj, 21 (21.11.99) of Wilbury Way, N18 has been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, blackmail, GBH and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

[B] Selhatin Gunes, 23 (14.08.97) of White Hart Lane, N22 has been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, blackmail, GBH, dangerous driving and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

[C] Edward Belton, 20 (05.08.00) of Megan Court, N7 has been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, blackmail, GBH and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

[D] Ksildian Lylau, 20 (19.03.00) of no fixed address has been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, blackmail, GBH and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

All four will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 13 February.

On Thursday, 11 February, specialist armed officers stopped two cars in Montagu Road at its junction with Swaythling Road, N18 as part of an ongoing investigation by the Flying Squad.

A 20-year-old man was discovered inside one of the vehicles with stab wounds to his leg. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition and subsequently discharged.

The four remaining occupants of the two cars were arrested and subsequently charged as above.
