Cyprus Police reported 130 individuals and 3 premises owners for violating the protective measures against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Limassol has the highest number of fines issued during the last 24 hours, 56 fines in total including the 3 premises.  
 
A police spokesperson told CNA that the force carried out 9,542 checks throughout the island in the last 24 hours ending on 06:00 local time, today. Most of the fines concerned non-use of a mask, movement without sms or after the start of curfew.
 
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 2,717 controls reporting 15 individuals, in Limassol 1,597 checks reporting 53 individuals and 3 premises owners, in Larnaca 1,355 checks with 35 individuals reported, in Pafos 15 individuals were reported following 1,126 checks.
 
The Police also carried out 1.180 checks in Famagusta reporting 4 individuals and in Morphou no reports were made after 800 checks.
 
Furthermore, the Traffic Department carried out 767 checks reporting 8 individuals and the Marine and Port Police carried out 149  checks with no reports issued.
