Issues related to exports of Cypriot products to China were discussed during a meeting Agriculture Minister Costas Kadis had on Friday with Ambassador of China Liu Yantao. The two men examined ways to speed up the process of signing the protocols for the export of agricultural products to China.

After signing of the protocol for the export of dairy products to China in November 2018, Cyprus has submitted requests to the Chinese authorities for the signing of protocols for the export of pork, pork products, fish and honey, a press release says.

The Chinese Ambassador told the Minister that he would make an effort to intensify the procedures for the completion of the protocols by the Chinese authorities, expressing his wish that these protocols could be signed in the framework of the next Import Fair, which will be held next November in Shanghai.
