It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and adored pappou Daniel Antoniou who sadly lost his battle with Covid-19 on the 18th January 2021.
At the age of 88 Daniel leaves behind his wife Vasilliki, his sons Anthony (and wife Chriso), John (and wife Alexandra), Spiro, Kyriacos, Mario and Nicholas. He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren Daniel (and wife Lynne), Louis, Constantino, Roxanne, Sophie, Joseph, Jordan, Alexandros and Lydia, three great-grandchildren Xavier, Miles and Callie, brother Kostaris, family and friends.
Daniel was a humble, quiet man with a passion for gardening, cooking, food, dancing and singing. His took great pride in his garden and allotment the fruits of which he loved to share. During his career, with his everyman way, he ingratiated himself to the rich and famous and was always ready with a tale to wow and entertain at family get togethers. The funeral will take place on Thursday 4th February 2021 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Cross & St Michael, Golders Green then to Hendon Cemetery, NW7 1NB. Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε το θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας συζύγου, πατέρα και λατρευτού παππού Ντάνιελ Αντωνίου, ο οποίος δυστυχώς έχασε τη μάχη του με τον COVID-19 στις 18 Ιανουαρίου 2021,
σε ηλικία 88 ετών. Ο Ντάνιελ αφήνει πίσω τη σύζυγό του Βασιλική, τους γιους του Αντώνη και σύζυγό Χρύσω, τον Τζον και σύζυγό Αλεξάνδρα, τον Σπύρο, τον Κυριάκο, τον Μάριο και τον Νικόλαο. Αφήνει επίσης τα εννέα εγγόνια του Νάνιελ (και σύζυγο Lynne), Λούης, Κωνσταντίνος, Ροξάνη, Σοφία, Τζόσεφ, Τζιόρνταν, Aλέξανδρος και Λύδια και τρία εγγόνια Χαβιέρ, Miles και Callie, αδελφό Κωσταρή, οικογένεια και φίλους.
Ο Ντάνιελ ήταν ένας ταπεινός, ήσυχος άνθρωπος με πάθος για κηπουρική, μαγείρεμα, φαγητό, χορό και τραγούδι. Είχε μεγάλη υπερηφάνεια για την κηπουρική και τα φρούτα που παρήγαγε στον κήπο και στο χωραφάκι του και του άρεσε να τα μοιράζεται. Στις οικογενειακές συνάξεις πάντοτε ήταν πρόθυμος και ήταν η ζωή του να διασκεδάσει τους παρευρισκόμενους με ιστορίες προσποιώντας τους πλούσιους και τους διάσημους. Του άρεσε να τα μοιράζεται, με συγγενείς και φίλους.
Η κηδεία θα τελεσθεί την Πέμπτη 4 Φεβρουαρίου 2021 στον Ελληνικό Ορθόδοξο Καθεδρικό Ναό του Τιμίου Σταυρού &Αρχάγγελου Μιχαήλ, Golders Green και η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο Hendon, NW7 1NB. Λόγω των υφιστάμενων περιορισμών, η κηδεία είναι ανοιχτή μόνο για την στενή οικογένεια και τους προσκεκλημένους.
