Andreas Karashialis

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father and Grand Father, Andreas Karashialis. Andreas tragically passed away on the 15th January, 2021 at UCH hospital aged 72 after a short battle with Covid-19.

Andreas leaves behind his devoted wife, Panayiota also from Kyperounda, his three children; Helen, Stella and Gregory and son-in laws; Andy and Klavthios and daughter in-law, Christina and 5 Grand-children; Michael, Alex, Andrea, Panayiotis and Christiana. He also leaves behind brothers; Procopis, Michael, Anton, Marios and sister, Katerina. He will be greatly missed by family and great friends.

Andreas was born on the 28th April, 1948 in Limassol, Cyprus to parents Stellios and Eleni. He spent his early childhood in Kyperounda village where he formed lasting bonds of family and friendship. He left the village at a young age to work in Limassol until 1964 when he came to London to begin a new chapter of his life with his parents and siblings. In 1969 he returned to Cyprus, where he met Panayiota, the love of his life and returned to London in 1970 to marry. They began their life together in Highgate, where they had three wonderful children and spent many years surrounded by good family and friends with an abundance of love and laughter. Andreas had a passion for cars and studied motor mechanics in Camden, he worked for Rolls Royce and opened a Garage that he found great pleasure in. Andreas number one passion soon become his grand-children, he adored them and revolved his life around them.

Andreas was a true gentleman, full of knowledge, warmth and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy, he would open his home to house and aid relatives and fellow Cypriots in need. His presence would warm the room and that feeling will always be with us. He will truly be missed and his legacy of love will continue on through the family. We miss you so much. Rest in peace our angel.

The funeral will take place on the Thursday, 11th February, 2021 at 1pm, at St Demetrius Church, Logan Rd, N9 0LP. The burial will take place at Edmonton Cemetery, Church St, N9 9HP.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to our wonderful family and friends for their kindness and support in this very difficult time.

There will be a donation box available at the church and cemetery for the NHS Charities.

Με μεγάλη λύπη και θλίψη αναγγέλλουμε το θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας συζύγου, πατέρα και παππού, Ανδρέα Καρασιάλη. Ο Ανδρέας απεβίωσε τραγικά στις 15 Ιανουαρίου 2021, σε ηλικία 72 ετών μετά από μια σύντομη μάχη με τον COVID-19.
Ο Ανδρέας αφήνει πίσω την αφοσιωμένη σύζυγό του, Παναγιώτα, τα τρία του παιδιά, Ελένη, Στέλλα και Γρηγόριο, γαμπρούς, Άντι και Κλαύδιο, νύφη, Χριστίνα και 5 εγγόνια Μιχάλη, Άλεξ, Ανδρέα, Παναγιώτη και Χριστίνα. Αφήνει επίσης τα αδέρφια του, Προκόπης, Μιχάλη, Άντον, Μάριο και Κατερίνα.
Θα λείψει πολύ από την οικογένεια και τους υπέροχους του φίλους.
Ο Ανδρέας πέρασε την παιδική του ηλικία στο χωριό Κυπερούντα όπου δημιούργησε μόνιμους δεσμούς οικογένειας και φιλίας. Το 1964 ήρθε στο Λονδίνο για να αρχίσει ένα νέο κεφάλαιο της ζωής του με τους γονείς και τα αδέλφια του. Το 1970 παντρεύτηκε την Παναγιώτα, την αγάπη της ζωής του και ξεκίνησαν τη ζωή τους μαζί στο Highgate όπου πέρασαν πολλά χρόνια περιτριγυρισμένοι από οικογένεια και καλούς φίλους με πού αγάπης χαρά και ευτυχία. Ο Ανδρέας είχε πάθος για τα αυτοκίνητα, δούλεψε για την Rolls Royce και σύντομα άνοιξε το δικό του γκαράζ στο οποίο βρήκε μεγάλη ικανοποίηση. Όμως το νούμερο ένα πάθος του Ανδρέα έγινε σύντομα τα εγγόνια του, τα λάτρεψε και η ζωή του ανανεώνετε γύρω τους.
Ο Ανδρέας ήταν ένας πραγματικός κύριος, γεμάτος γνώσεις, ζεστασιά και καλοσύνη. Έκανε τα πάνω κάτω πάνω για να είναι όλοι χαρούμενοι. Η παρουσία του ζέστανε το χώρο και αυτό το συναίσθημα θα είναι πάντα μαζί μας. Θα μας λείψει πραγματικά, αλλά η κληρονομιά της αγάπης του θα συνεχιστεί για πάντα μέσω της οικογένειας.
Μας λείπεις τόσο πολύ αγαπημένε μας.. Αναπαύσου ειρηνικά άγγελε μας.
Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Πέμπτη 11 Φεβρουαρίου 2021 στις 13:00, στην εκκλησία του Αγίου Δημητρίου, Logan Rd, N9 0LP. Η ταφή θα γίνει στο κοιμητήριο του Έντμοντον, Church St, N9 9HP.
Θα θέλαμε να εκφράσουμε τις θερμές μας ευχαριστίες και ευγνωμοσύνη στην υπέροχη οικογένεια και τους φίλους μας για την καλοσύνη και την υποστήριξή τους σε αυτήν την πολύ δύσκολη περίοδο.
Θα υπάρχει κουτί εισφορών στην εκκλησία και το κοιμητήριο για του NHS Φιλανθρωπικές Οργανώσεις.
