Romeo Beckham, the 18-year-old son of footballer David Beckham and his singer-fashion designer wife Victoria, made his magazine debut for the first of four covers of L’Uomo Vogue’s Generation Issue.
The cover shoot, which was photographed by famed photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, featured a grown-up looking, blonde-haired Romeo modelling a variety of skin-baring outfits.
While Romeo covered up in an oversize sweater, trousers and Prada boots for the cover, other shots featured the star showing off his chest and abs as he wore a cropped teal tank top in one photo and an unbuttoned tuxedo vest in another. Romeo also strikes a strong resemblance to his dad, who was known for rocking the same platinum blonde hair look in the early noughties.
Romeo showed off his first major fashion shoot on Instagram saying, “Excited to share my first cover shoot for @luomovogue ?.”
The photoshoot received plenty of praise from his family. “incredible!! ?,” said Romeo’s soon-to-be sister-in-law Nicola Peltz, who got engaged to the model’s older brother Brooklyn Beckham, 21, in July 2020.
David posted the magazine cover on his own Instagram feed and congratulated his son on the accomplishment. “So proud of you @romeobeckham❤️ What an incredible first cover for @luomovogue,” the star said.
Romeo got his first taste of the fashion industry at just 10-years-old when he became the face of Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2013 print campaign. He continued his work with the British fashion label in 2014 when he starred in a four-minute film for Burberry’s first Christmas campaign at age 12.
