The 17th award, although initially canceled due to high budget and emergency measures against Coronavirus, took place on December 7-8, 2020 without the presence of the public and was broadcast on January 2, 2021 by Mega Channel.

Fierce performances.

Tamta, who represented Cyprus in 2019 with her song “Replay” who gave her a very respectable 13th place in Tel Aviv, Israel was up first. She performed her cover of the song “Love Is A Compass” by the artist Griff.

The song was used for Disney’s Christmas Advent for 2020 in collaboration with cancer charity Make A Wish Foundation. Tamta provided her voice for the Greek-Cypriot localisation. Tamta wore a beautiful white feather dress to accompany an equally poignant song. Please take a look for yourself.

Eleni Foureira who represented Cyprus in 2018 with “Fuego” who finished as the runner-up in Lisbon, Portugal and also regained the runner-up position in the recent ESC250 countdown gave two performances and won “Best Modern Female”.

The first performance was a remix of her latest hit “Dokimase Me”. In a full length leather effect trench coat with suspenders, Eleni gave a moody, sultry performance with equally moody acid green and red lighting giving an underground aura. It must be seen to be believed!

Her second performance was to her other 2020 release “Light It Up”, she teamed up with other local stars Charja and Super C*unterines. She mirrored her black ensemble for a white dress with white boots with the dancers in very creative club kid inspired masks vogueing the house down!

Two time Greek representative, Helena Paparizou who won the contest 16 years ago with the song “My Number One” and came third 20 years ago with the song “Die For You” with Antique gave a performance to her latest release “Deja Vu” with Marseaux. Paparizou also won here winning “Best Female Adult” award.

She in beachy hair and a black outfit gave an amazing performance in a pool of water to add an interesting dynamic with fierce dancers with added flames! Helena proving she’s still one of the best!
