The Department of Meteorology issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms.

The warning is valid between 8pm Thursday until 11 am Friday.

Local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the area. The rain intensity may exceed 35mm per hour, it says.

“Be aware that thunderstorms may occur. Take extra care in exposed areas, like mountains, forest and open terrain. Disruption to outdoor activities is possible” the Department warns.
