Omonia failed to extend their winning run after their unexpected surprise 1-1 draw against Olympiakos at home.
The game started with a minute silence for former Omonia player and manager Andreas Konstantinou, who recently passed away. Konstantinou was the only Cypriot manager to have won a league title with Omonia.
Omonia started well but it was Olympiakos that scored first through Ka with a long range shot.Omonia equalised in the 40th minute through Papoulis.
Omonia are now second placed on 44 points three points behind Apollon.
AEL also missed a good chance to rise up the table when they were also held to a draw a 2-2 draw with Ermis Aradippou. AEL led from the 33rd minute through Mae but Ermis Aradippou turned the game round and surprised AEL by scoring two goals with a Roushia double within four minutes of each other in the 54th and 59th minute. And a 70th minute equaliser from Minas Antoniou saved the day for the Limassol team AEL to go into 4th place with 42 points.
5th placed AEK beat Pafos 4-1 Nando scored the first goal for AEK in the 26th minute and Pafos equalised in the 56th minute with Valikari. Nando scored in the 64th minute to retain the lead for AEK and Naranjo and Makris scored in the last five minutes to win 4-1.
Ethnikos Achna drew with Nea Salamina 1-1 Ethnikos led through Kountoupiak in the 74th minute and Nea Salamina equalised with Danilo in the 88th minute.
On Monday Anorthosis lifted themselves to third place 43 points by beating Karmiotissa 2-1 Anorthosis led from the 7th minute through Vlidaia and Kaltsas made it 2-0, Karmiotissa reduced the score to 2-1 with a penalty from Sasi.
Doxa beat Enosis Neon Paralimniou 1-0 with a Sandik penalty and top of the table with 47 points Apollon beat Apoel 1-0 with the lone goal scored by Pittas in the 73rd minute.
