Cyprus Health Ministry announced 4 deaths and 129 new COVID -19 cases on Saturday bringing total of deaths to 183 and of cases to 29,887 since the pandemic broke out.
A total of 174 patients are getting treatment in hospitals island wide, 59 of whom are in serious condition.
The new cases (positivity rate: 1,58%) were detected from a total of 8,155 tests (rapid tests and PCR).
The deceased are a male 78 years old who was at the ICU of Nicosia General Hospital and had underlying conditions, a female 89 years old with underlying conditions who was getting treatment at the Famagusta Reference Hospital, two females 81 and 87 years with underlying conditions who were hospitalized at Limassol General Hospital.
From the 183 deaths on the island, the 122 are male (67%), and 61 female (33%) with median age 80 years of age.
From the 59 patients in serious condition, the 29 are intubated , 6 are in IUCs and 24 in ACUs.
