In the late stages Omonia Youth created chances with no avail and in the dying minutes Komi Kebir added a second goal when Con Michael put through Ramiah Mills who went past two players and stroked the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper into the back of the net and give Komi Kebir a 2-0 win and top spot in the KOPA League.
What a crazy game Anorthosis v Olympia was with Anorthosis leading 3-0 and looking very comfortable for a win they dropped their guard and allowed Olympia back in the game to eventually lose 4-3 it was a very entertaining game of two very different halves the first controlled by Anorthosis and the second by Olympia. But well done to Olympia for persevering and bouncing back into the game.
Anorthosis goals came from William, Andre and Vas, Olympia’s from Furlonge, Sam, Elia and George Yianni.
Cinar were coasting along at 3-0 with a win in their sights when they let it go, and the opposition Apoel were able to battle back, Apoel scored through a penalty to make it 3-1 then they were awarded a penalty to make it 3-2 just before the break, they were given another penalty to make it 3-3 and now it was game on with either team battling in a free for all. Apoel took the lead and Cinar equalised and Apoel went onto score another two goals and missed another penalty they had three penalties in all to win the match 6-4 in this tremendous one setter. Apoel’s goals came from Michael Spencer, Jack Lane, George Lutaaya, Demetris Frangeskides and Marcos Kyprianou 2. Cinar’s gaols came from Yannick Kamanan 2 and Kyriacos Kyriacou.
Championship chasing teams Pantel and Omonia shared the points in their game, Pantel took the lead 1-0 Omonia then went down to 10 men as a result of one of their players being sent off but they still managed to equalise then Pantel retook the lead and Omonia equalised with a final score of 2-2.
