Cyprus has reported another two deaths from Covid-19 and another 324 positive coronavirus cases from a total of 4,607 pcr tests. The total number of positive cases in Cyprus has reached 14,800 and total deaths recorded from the disease are 77.
At the same time,113 patients are being treated in hospital for the disease. The state of health of 16 of them is serious.
In a press release the Health Ministry also announced 202 positive results from a total of 7,310 rapid tests carried out across Cyprus which will need to be confirmed in the coming days by pcr testing.
The people who died from the disease are both men aged 82 and 88 respectively who suffered from other underlying diseases. One of them had been at Nicosia General Hospital ICU and another had been at the Famagusta General Hospital which acts as a reference hospital for the disease, after having been transported there from a home for the elderly in Limassol.
The total number of deaths in Cyprus with Covid-19 as cause of death is 77, 51 (66%) men and 26 (36%) women. The average age of people dying from the disease is 78.
