Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning that will be valid from 2000 local time (1800 GMT) on Tuesday untill 0600 on Wednesday.

According to the warning, isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the area. Precipitation rate may exceed 35MM per hour. Hail is also possible.

The public is called to be aware that thunderstorms may occur and take extra care in exposed areas, like mountains, forest and open terrain. it is also noted that disruption to outdoor activities is possible.
