Indoor theatres and cinemas in Cyprus are allowed to reopen as of today, while further relaxation of the restrictive measures to restrain COVID-19 apply for open air concert, theater shows and restaurant.
 
As the Ministry of Health has announced, taking into account the existing epidemiological data and the forecasts for COVID-19 disease, from July 1, it is allowed to organize and hold concerts / theatrical performances in organized open spaces according to the relevant guidelines.
 
According to the guidelines, the maximum number of people allowed to be in the area at the same time will be calculated based on the area of the useful open space, and provided that there will be two seats empty between individuals or groups of people.
 
It was also decided that as of July 1, 2020, indoor theatres and cinemas will reopen on the basis of safety and health guidelines for the operation of indoor theaters and cinemas.
 
The maximum number of people allowed to be in the theater / cinema at the same time will be calculated based on the area of the useful space, and provided that there will be two seats empty between individuals or groups of people.
 
The Ministry of Health has also updated the Protocol on the operation of restaurant as from today, in relation to the maximum number of people that can be served. The maximum number of people is set at 100 people indoors and 200 people outdoors.
 
Specifically, in restaurants, despite the measure for keeping a distance of 3 sq.m. for interiors and 2 sq.m. for outdoor spaces per person, regardless of the square footage of premises, the maximum number of persons that can be served may not exceed 100 people indoors and 200 people outdoors.

It is also stated that the service of the public is done exclusively in table seats.
