­Manchester born Boxing legend Ricky Hatton helped  the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation deliver their donated food packages to the vulnerable and needy who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic in Manchester  last week .

John Christodoulou the founder of Yianis Christodoulou foundation has roots in Manchester by owning the Hilton in Deansgate in Manchester.

The food package donations were delivered to Barnabus homeless charity, Justlife, which supports adults housed in unsupported temporary accommodation such as private hostels and B&Bs, Brydon Court, which works with rough sleepers, and Women’s DA.

The Yianis Christodoulou a UK Cypriot has also helped and donated thousands of food packages to Liverpool vulnerable and needy which were helped and delivered by Football star Jamie Carragher and boxing legend Tony Bellew. He also donated food packages to a Tower Hamlets School and the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel helped and delivered by football legend Bobby Zamora and singer Eleni C respectively . And food packages were also delivered to vulnerable UK Cypriots aided by the National Federation of Cypriots in the UK. In Cyprus his homeland he also donated food packages to all doctors and nurses and ancillary workers in their public hospitals.

John Christodoulou above  said: “Mine and The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation’s principles are built on mainly helping those who are vulnerable and, with this current crisis many more need help within local communities.

“It means a lot to receive support from such respected sports stars, and the staff and volunteers from the charities were delighted to be able to meet them and be personally thanked for their ongoing hard work.
