We talk to 12 year old UK Cypriot Thomas Sandamas whose Grandparents are from Kontea and KaloChorio in Cyprus and he tells us about his successful venture.
As soon as I stepped through the turnstiles at the Emirates stadium to watch my first Arsenal game, I felt at home. The amazing atmosphere; the overwhelming noise of the passionate fans; I knew this was the club I belonged too.
My name’s Thomas and I run a small Arsenal FC fan channel on YouTube called ‘Arsenal Fan Reviews’. Currently with over 1200 subscribers, I cover all Arsenal related news and matches. I’m 12 at the moment, live in north London and as you guessed – love football!
I’ve supported Arsenal my entire life, my first game being against Newcastle back in 2016, Arsenal winning one nil after a Koscielny goal.
My dad and I created the Arsenal Fan Reviews channel about a year ago but at the beginning of this year I started to take it more seriously and began to upload and cover all news and matches – I’m uploading a video pretty much every day now!
I’ve always wanted to do YouTube and knew it would be fun. I watch it all the time and eventually decided that it was time to start – and now I’m here!
So far the channel’s been incredibly successful, racking up nearly 200,000 views overall, and marching onto 2000 subscribers.
Creating content has also taught me many skills including editing and presenting.
I’m hoping to one day turn my small channel into a career or maybe even become a football journalist!
